TangoFactory is our latest project in the Auckland tango scene. It is a real practica where we would like to actively encourage you to focus on an aspect of technique—either of your own choosing or suggestion from your partner. It is a space for creativity, for "let's see if this works," for "let's do this again" or any other way you'd like to practise.

We would like to depart from hang ups and "I am bad at this and that" thinking and instead put some energy and fun back in (y)our dancing.

Think comfy clothing, grungy shoes (or not!), lovely music, friendly people and honest feedback from partners... where it's ok to say "hey, that didn't feel quite right, let's try it again." Sessions where getting a good feeling, a sentiment that you've achieved something or an experience where you've appreciated tango from a different aspect are the aims.

Ultimately, we would like for it to be a place where questions are raised for discussion between two or more people be it musical, technical, stylistic or philosophical. See you there.
